Bright Road Improvements and Emerald Parkway Roundabout

To prepare for increased traffic and improve access to the future Mount Carmel Dublin, improvements are scheduled for the Bright Road corridor and the Bright Road/Sawmill Road intersection. A roundabout will be constructed on Emerald Parkway at the hospital’s entrance near Bright Road.

Work Status:

• Construction of a new roundabout on Emerald Parkway south of Bright Road
• Reconstruction/widening of the Bright Road corridor between Emerald Parkway and Sawmill, along with a new turn lane on Sawmill Road

Traffic Impact:

• On May 6, phase 1 construction on the Emerald Parkway roundabout begins. Several hundred feet of the inside lanes along Emerald Parkway south of Bright Road will close in both directions until May 8. Traffic will be maintained in both directions along the remaining outer lanes.
• On May 8, phase 2 construction on the Emerald Parkway roundabout begins. The traffic pattern will switch along Emerald Parkway south of Bright Road. One travel lane will remain open in each direction with southbound traffic shifted into the left lane of northbound Emerald Parkway.
  • The pedestrian sidewalk along the west side of Emerald Parkway will close
